BEGINNERS:
Learn guitar, ukulele, fiddle or songwriting from scratch! Lessons will cover the basics of playing your instrument, and musical knowledge, including reading chord charts, tuning, understanding rhythm, strumming and musicality, all while learning to play songs YOU like in a fun & positive setting.
Available for weekly lessons, or packages of 4, 6, or 8 lessons.
ADVANCED BEGINNERS/INTERMEDIATE PLAYERS:
These lessons are designed for advanced beginners or intermediate players who'd like to get inspiration, tips, and tricks to take their playing to the next level. For guitar this includes but is not limited to: flatpicking, fingerpicking, new chord shapes, drop-D guitar tuning, innovative rhythm playing, stress-free music theory and more! Learn how to utilize guitar scales as well as singing, to inspire soloing, improvising, and jamming without fear.
Available for weekly lessons, or packages of 2, 4, 6, or 8 lessons.
ADVANCED GUITAR FOR SONGWRITERS:
Learn new skills for creative guitar accompaniment, and apply them in the context of your songs!
Expand your understanding of guitar playing and learn new ways to express the emotions of your songs utilizing new chord shapes, flatpicking techniques, fingerpicking, alternate tunings, and advanced rhythm playing.
Discover how interesting tunings, rhythmic hooks, and subtle right hand guitar techniques can breathe new life into songs you already play, as well as how these musical ideas can inspire new songs and ways of playing.
Available in packages of 2, 4, or 6 lessons.

ABOUT
Clara grew up in a musical family where fiddle tunes, harmony singing, and saxophone scales echoed throughout the house at all hours of the night and day. She learned fiddle by ear and private lessons, guitar by self-study and at bluegrass jams, and studied classical voice for 4 years during college. Clara enjoys teaching both kids and adults, and outside of music, has 15 years of experience working with children in schools and camp settings. Clara is a unique teacher; she has a student-centered approach, and adapts her lessons to meet the needs of each student. Not only does she help students gain new skills, she teaches in a way that encourages students to enjoy the process of being a learner and playing music. Clara is a skilled and passionate educator able to help you assess your goals and strengths, and work with you to improve your skills in a fun environment that fosters a deeper appreciation of music.
